Hi Friends,
My daughter Kristin's show, "The Ringleader," has had a date change. It has been scheduled to air as a Valentine's Special on Tuesday, FEB 14 - BRAVO at 7:00 pm! Please tune in and pass the word. She is beautiful, funny, smart, quirky-as-hell, and oh-so-talented...even beyond my maternal bias. Staying tuned in will bump the ratings, so if you hate it, please leave it on while you shower, shave, nap, go on safari, etc. I appreciate your support so very much.
Official Bravo Press Release Below:
“The Ring Leader" Premieres At 7pm ET/PT
New York – February 1, 2012 – Cupid’s arrow has struck Bravo Media as two loved themed specials airing on Valentine’s Day with “The Ring Leader” on Tuesday, February 14th at 7 pm ET/PT, followed by “The Millionaire Matchmaker Valentine's Day WWHL Special” at 10:00 pm ET/PT. “The Ring Leader” follows larger than life wedding planner, Kristin Banta, whose out-of-the-box style is revolutionizing the way couples look at their special day. As founder of Kristin Banta Events, she brings her wedding expertise to the forefront, making each and every one of her client’s weddings into a must see spectacular event. Whether hanging chandeliers from trees, setting up an art installation or mounting a 100 foot tall wedding cake, Banta’s weddings are anything but the norm. In this one-hour special, Banta plans the ultimate wedding for Sarah and Michael, high school classmates who reconnect after a number of years. Despite a life altering accident that left Michael paralyzed from the waist down in his teens, there is nothing that will stop this daring, adventurous couple from putting on a wedding that will be remembered forever. Banta has one shot to prove that she can make this couple’s wedding as unexpected and unforgettable as possible.

Thank you for indulging her proud mama!!!
Look for my next Blooper Blog - returning this Friday!

Beautiful! Congratulations to your very accomplished daughter, and to you for raising her!
Margo, thank you. It takes a village...but in L.A., it's the Village People! :)
How exciting for you all!!! Gwen I know you must be so proud of her!!!! I wish her all the success!!!
Deborah, thank you. Yes, I'm about to burst. Of course, the meatball sub didn't help things...
Wonderful ! She is as lovely and talented as mom (well, almost) and I would love to see her show.
Marge, thank you. She is so much more talented than I...except on a pogo stick. Mom is untouchable :)
Thanks for the update... I've changed it in my calendar. Congrats to you as her Mom and congrats to Gwen for the show.. wishing her much success.
Peggy, thank you! Now I'm praying it will be a success!
I have to say, I did watch a little bit of the show you suggested last week. It seemed like a bunch of fairly empty women complaining about their fairly empty husband/boyfriends and lives. I could only watch about 10 minutes of it.
Now I assume that was not the show you wanted us to watch. For which I am glad.
Feeling badly, I tuned back in a little later to either a different segment or different show about something trapped between male and female, and I could only stomach about 6 seconds of it, wondering why and how such stuff gets on TV...
Not wanting to say anything untoward, I didn't say anything!
I have to think that if someone like me (Scoutmaster, straight forward, honest, conservative, decidedly male) was to walk into the lives of the women I saw on that show, they would probably consider me a Martian, dismiss me, and then continue to complain about their lives... Irony abounds.
Good luck to Kristin with the show! I am usually not home from work by 7pm, but if I am will try to remember to watch.
Hi Gwen. Good luck to Kristin with the show. Tough business.
Thanks for the info change, Gwen. I'm looking forward to it. I have a feeling we'll learn a lot about you while watching your daughter. 8-)
Gwen - How exciting - We'll tune in!
Gwen, congratulations on the accomplishments of your beautiful daughter-I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
Gwen, we will definitely be tuning in! Congrats again and good luck!
Wow, the Banta girls did not miss out on the pretty genes! I will be watching, and congratulations to you both!
Dick Beals
Gwen - congratulations on your daughter's show getting such good placement! That should help raise the ratings (wedding planning on Valentine's day - what is more appropriate?)
Jay, I bet you tuned into one of the Real Housewives shows. Imagine - the problems of the wealthy! Most of them don't even work, but their complaints are endless...and their lives are a maelstrom of drama and hysteria. The only thing "real" about the real housewives is their Am Ex bills!
Conrad, thank you. Personally, I hate reality shows, but I am willing to make an exception :)
Mike, just cover your ears. Everyone in production has foul mouths...including my angelic-looking daughter. If I could ground her, I would.
Marcia, I really appreciate that.
Joanna, this apple is best sauced :-)
Mike, thank you. The two people getting married are truly inspirational.
Dick, thanks so much for the compliment. Kristin is a natural beauty, whereas I am the Van Gogh of makeup and disguise. Cover your ears, though. As I told Mike, the language these kids use is abominable!
Steven, you're right. We were overjoyed at Bravo's decision to go with a Valentine Day Special. Of course, a lot of couples will be dining out that night, but the show will air several times. If it's a success, it will go to series. If I light any more candles, my fire sprinklers may go off :)
Gwen, this is so exciting! I will definitely tune in and see! I know it's already filmed, but tell your daughter to "Break A Leg" anyway!
Linda, until the reviews come out, I'm sure she can use all the "broken legs" available - thank you!
Kristin is pretty like her momma!
I am going to watch it for sure Gwen.
Awww, Patty, thanks. Actually, her mom is old and withered. Of course, I tell her she's the cause... :)
How exciting that we have such celebrity status in the rain! The topic with the couple that has extenuating circumstances will add a special twist.
Jane, thank you. I met the couple, and they are darling - truly admirable and inspirational!
Good morning Gwen,
How exciting for your daughter (and you!) I am so glad that you posted this, as I was scrolling back through to find the date to watch her show. Wishing her great success, "Break a Leg" Kristin!
Good morning Gwen,
The DVR is set for Kristin's big debut showing - airs at 6:00pm tomorrow here in the Dallas area.
Lisa, your note made me realize that the timing varies in different areas. I think I'll send out a reminder to everyone. Thanks so very much for your support!
You are welcome!
oh crap, I missed it. I didn't see the date change and thought it was on tonight. If you find out about it airing again, please let me know. I caught a sneak peek and it was fantastic!
Cynthia, you are so sweet to even remember. They may run it again before deciding if it will be picked up as a series. (Reviews and social media feedback were highly favorable, so we are all holding our breath.) If it runs again, I'll post another blog. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
